The patient in question is a lady who got a stoma 20 years ago. “She’s been through a lot. Coped with a bad skin and many leakages. We tried all kinds of things, but nothing really worked. We thought the ostomy shower was worth a try as well, and the skin problems started to go away.”

At first, Brigitte was a bit sceptical. “Yes, I admit that I was. But as a nurse, that’s fair enough. We have to find out how a product works in reality, before advising it to our clients. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the effect of Stomydo®. The blood flow improved, which stimulated the recovery of the skin. And I’m glad to see that the client is happy as well. She still has some leakages, so we’re not entirely rid of all the other materials. We’re still looking into that.”
