Because of her ileostomy, Annelies has trouble showering without any stoma materials. As the ileostomy keeps producing, bathrooms visits are, to say the least, very unpleasant – leave alone taking a warm and relaxing bath.

Every part of the skin deserves attention

“Now that I have a stoma, I notice that the surrounding skin isn’t as clean as it was before. Next to that, I get a lot of leakages. Because I’m not able to clean the skin properly and get rid of the glue residue, my stool keeps getting a way to get past the appliance, causing the leakage.”
